Feeling your eyes on them, they look up and you lock eyes for a moment, never pausing in your recitation. The smallest nod of recognition, two souls brightening in this frozen moment of perfect human connection. This moment in which the world stops but the song plays on. This fraction of a second in which whole lives and life stories are shared and commingled. And then it ends. You don't talk. You don't wave. You just go back to your life with the memory of this one person, this one moment, and this song. It's a good memory.
