Since I’m clearly feeling nostalgic I’ll overshare that this is one of those songs that just transports me to the west side highway driving into/out of Manhattan on a warm summer night with the top down in my dads convertible on our way for our monthly opera nights. It’s one of those bright bulbs for sure. I can smell it… and it smells like salty air from NY harbor, it tastes like a well done hot dog with kraut and mustard from Gray’s papaya with a refreshing papaya drink, it looks like lights from all the buildings reflecting over the dark Hudson River, and headlights and lit billboards rising up over the tall buildings along the highway, and it feels like leather seats and the wind in my hair.

And evidently it wasn’t half bad cuz the mother of the groom and his sister came over to say what a great job I did lol. I’m basically famous.
